some interesting finds coming out of Oak Island

Spanish coins and English military buttons
Spanish galleon spikes and treasure chest metal from a Spanish Galleon

So another Spanish coin was found but it was cut

When circulating in New England the larger coins might be cut to give intermediate values; since a real was nicknamed a "bit", the expression "two bits" came to mean a quarter dollar.

So come to find out a Pirate James Anderson owned land on Oak Island.....he was a Mason and he belonged to a Lodge w

I really like how they keep finding things, like the button coins , spikes, etc. Something definetly was going on there before anyone thought of looking for the Money Pit. This last episode they actually found a few fragments of pottery from one of their drill holes.

Yep Holly
me too

The Canadian and Nova Scotia archeology and antiquities are wanting to know too
I like how they have a archeologist on site to preserve sites.
I think history is going to be rewritten eventually on when the Brits came to the island and the big question is what are Spanish coins and jewelry doing there too

looks like the island was a hideout ....I can't wait till the porcelain gets dated from the money pit.

They found a afidavit sworn testimony gold was seen on the drill bits.....
