Government files released and the 'Incident' is to hit the silver screen.

Thanks Pilrig, interesting story. Shades of the Travis Walton incident in 1970s Arizona, made into the film "Fire in the Sky".

Never seen the film or heard of Travis walton - not a big UFO buff me. But the films on youtube and certainly watch asap. The A70 incident took place about 20 minutes drive from my abode another celebrated incident took place much nearer. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Robert_Taylor_incident

And http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=P0WroCbJuFU Bob Taylor http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WDGe62dR ... re=related

Interesting, the only recorded case in the UK of a UFO incident being the subject of an official police investigation.

A bit depressing to see on the film that the plaque in his memory was swiped from it's marker stone. Typical. Nice looking countryside round there.

Some of the so-called rational explanations for his experience seemed more bizarre than the idea of him seeing a UFO.

Quote:
A theory by author David Slater, proposes that Taylor’s experience may have been a belladonna induced hallucination that triggered memories of a recently aired Doctor Who episode in which a spaceship of similar appearance featured.

Is he suggesting that he ate deadly nightshade?

I watched the Travis Walton film. Quite good, interesting that it was more concerned about his disappearance and the suspicions of his murder by his workmates than the actual alien thing.
I read up on this incident on Wikipedia, and as usual there is a fair amount of controversy, in particular with the lie-detector tests, and Walton's admission that he was interested in UFOs prior to the incident, indeed it's said that one of his fellow loggers had seen strange, unexplained phenomena in the forest previously. Another thing in the movie its only the logger-in-chief Rodgers who goes back to look for Walton, whereas Wikipedia says all five went back.
For those who are interested here's the complete movie on youtube http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Yq3_bY3nUJc
