Interesting.

BTW.
The first link says:

Quote:
The objects belong to Hassan Saeda, a Bedouin farmer in Galilee who says they have been in his family's possession since his great-grandfather found them in a cave in Jordan, a century ago.

... and the other one:

Quote:
The treasure trove was found five years ago by an Israeli Bedouin ...

Mmm, definitely worth a search around to get a fuller picture of the situation here, and to cross-check some of the details.

From your link sheila

The Book of Revelation refers to such sealed texts.
I've been watching this story

I believe this will be quite a fight to keep or get these books
and their suppression assured ..like the dead Sea Scrolls

it is very prophetic though if this is a hint of the book with the seven seals 8)

The articles say the metal tablets have Christian symbols on them - a cross and tomb are mentioned.

The images shown in the articles have symbols which to me aren't recognizably Christian.

Anybody think these symbols are Christian?

The original press release:

http://www.scribd.com/doc/51540533/Lead ... ss-Release

The talent agency page:

http://www.curtisbrown.co.uk/news.aspx?news=1107

Interestingly enough, I found these pages from 4 years ago:

http://www.unicode.org/mail-arch/unicod ... /0170.html
http://www.unicode.org/mail-arch/unicod ... /0187.html
http://www.unicode.org/mail-arch/unicod ... 1-bok2.bmp
http://www.unicode.org/mail-arch/unicod ... C02868.JPG

There seem to be rather a lot of inconsistencies to this story (it seems to be the rule rather than the exception) - it will be interesting to see how it develops (if it does at all).

According to the release the contents appear decidedly Jewish and pre-Christian era.

However, the consulted expert does say the textual forms were later used in the 1st century AD by Christians.

Caruso's new analysis of the text corroborates the recent findings of a Greek archaeologist at Oxford, who said the images appearing in the codices, including one of Christ on the cross, are anachronistic. "The image they are saying is Christ, is the sun god Helios from a coin that came from the island of Rhodes. There are also some nonsense inscriptions in Hebrew and Greek," Peter Thonemann told the press. He believes the codices were forged within the past 50 years.

I'm afraid we will be seeing more and more of this type of thing as religion loses its strangle-hold on the people of the planet...

Wonder what will become of the nails that they said were used to crucify the messiah? They looked a bit short to do the job as far as I'm concerned.

All I hope is that the texts get unsealed and we all get to read them first before god brings the hammer down.. :)
