I really like this one.

However, the Priory of Sion has confirmed that there are ancient tombs that they are protecting in the area of Rennes-le-Château.[26] It would hardly be surprising if one of these tombs were discovered. And it would hardly be surprising if the Priory of Sion orchestrated some sort of cover-up to protect the location and the contents of that tomb.[27] In my opinion, there is a very real possibility that Ben Hammott did in fact find an ancient tomb and that the Bloodline movie, the bottle finds, and Hammott’s subsequent ‘hoaxes’ were all an elaborate attempt to discredit Hammott and to divert attention away from his discovery of a Templar tomb.

So the PoS has confirmed that there are ancient tombs.

I can confirm that there are ancient tombs in the area of Rennes-le-Chateau as well.

Does that make me a member of the PoS?

Top Trump aide lobbied for Pakistani spy front
Michael Isikoff
Chief Investigative Correspondent
April 18, 2016

For more than five years, Donald Trump’s new top campaign aide, Paul Manafort, lobbied for a Washington-based group that Justice Department prosecutors have charged operated as a front for Pakistan’s intelligence service, according to court and lobbying records reviewed by Yahoo News.

Manafort’s work in the 1990s as a registered lobbyist for the Kashmiri American Council was only one part of a wide-ranging portfolio that, over several decades, included a gallery of controversial foreign clients ranging from Philippine President Ferdinand Marcos and Zaire’s brutal dictator Mobutu Sese Seko to an Angolan rebel leader accused by human rights groups of torture. His role as an adviser to Ukraine’s then prime minister, Viktor Yanukovych, an ally of Russian President Vladimir Putin, prompted concerns within the Bush White House that he was undermining U.S. foreign policy. It was considered so politically toxic in 2008 that presidential candidate John McCain nixed plans for Manafort to manage the Republican National Convention — a move that caused a rupture between Manafort and his then business partner, Rick Davis, who at the time was McCain’s campaign manager.

Manafort’s work for the Kashmiri group has so far not gotten any media attention.

But it could fuel more questions about his years of lobbying for questionable foreign interests before Manafort, 67, assumed his new position as chief delegate counter and strategist for a presidential candidate who repeatedly decries the influence of Washington lobbyists and denounces the manipulation of U.S. policy by foreign governments.

Court records show that Manafort’s Kashmiri lobbying contract came on the FBI’s radar screen during a lengthy counterterrorism investigation that culminated in 2011 with the arrest of the Kashmiri council’s director, Syed Ghulam Nabi Fai, on charges that he ran the group on behalf of Pakistan’s intelligence service, the ISI, as part of a scheme to secretly influence U.S. policy toward the disputed territory of Kashmir.

The Kashmiri American Council was a “scam” that amounted to a “false flag operation that Mr. Fai was operating on behalf of the ISI,” Gordon D. Kromberg, the assistant U.S. attorney who prosecuted the case, said in March 2012 at Fai’s sentencing hearing in federal court. While posing as a U.S.-based nonprofit funded by American donors sympathetic to the plight of Kashmiris, it was actually bankrolled by the ISI in order to deflect public attention “away from the involvement of Pakistan in sponsoring terrorism in Kashmir and elsewhere,” Kromberg said. Fai, who pleaded guilty to conspiracy and tax fraud charges, was then sentenced to two years in federal prison.

Lobbying records filed with the secretary of the Senate show that Manafort’s lobbying firm, Black, Manafort, Stone & Kelly, was paid $700,000 by the Kashmiri American Council between 1990 and 1995. This was among more than $4 million that federal prosecutors alleged came from the ISI; Fai collected the money over 20 years from “straw” American donors who were being reimbursed from secret accounts in Pakistan. (The funds were in some cases delivered to Fai in brown paper bags stuffed with cash — and then the donors reimbursed with wire transfers from ISI operatives, according to an FBI affidavit.)

Manafort, who handled the Kashmiri account for his firm, was never charged in the case, and Kromberg told Yahoo News that what knowledge, if any, he had of the secret source of money from his client was not part of the Justice Department’s investigation. (While registering with Congress as a domestic lobbyist for the Kashmiri American Council, Manafort never registered with the U.S. Justice Department as a foreign agent of Pakistan, as he would have been required to do if he was aware of the ISI funding of his client.)

But a former senior Pakistani official, who asked not to be identified, told Yahoo News that there was never any doubt on Pakistan’s part that Manafort knew of his government’s role in backing the Kashmiri council. The former official said that during a trip from Islamabad in 1994 he met with Manafort and Fai in Manafort’s office in Alexandria, Va., “to review strategy and plans” for the council. Manafort, at the meeting, presented plans to influence members of Congress to back Pakistan’s case for a plebiscite for Kashmir (the largest portion of which has been part of India since 1947), he said. (Internal budget documents later obtained by the FBI show plans by the council to spend $80,000 to $100,000 a year on campaign contributions to members of Congress.) “There is no way Manafort didn’t know that Pakistan was involved with” the council, the former official said, although he added: “Some things are not explicitly stated.”

Neither Manafort nor the Trump campaign responded to requests for comment for this story. (“I’m not working for any client right now other than working for Mr. Trump,”

It's truly impossible to deny Manafort and friends involvement in the face of so much evidence. To understand the depths of the larger story, one will have to go way back to the rise of their compatriot in sleaze and the founder of the ugly anything goes campaign politics of Lee Atwater. These are some of the true heavyweights of Machiavellian politics here and who were instrumental in some of G. W. Bush's foreign policy blunders. Here's excerpts from ten long pages of how they do business.

Quote:
A bill was moving through Congress, with passage assured, that would have helped fund UN supervision of the transition of Namibia to independence. In order to derail the independence of Namibia, the senator from North Carolina, Jesse Helms, put a stipulation into the bill where the funding for the UN supervision would be withheld if there were any evidence of the use of chemical weapons by Cubans in Angola. Thanks to the work of Jesse Helms and BMS&K, Bush would sign the bill with the rider. They were also helped out by Andries Holst, a German film-maker who claimed to have recorded the horrors of chemical weapon use in Angola, and Aubin Heynrickx, a toxicologist who would confirm use of such weapons in a published report. Both men were brought in to give their support of the bill’s qualifier by a network that included Black, Stone, K&H, the conservative think tank the Heritage Foundation, and the conservative think tank the International Freedom Foundation (IFF). The IFF would later be revealed to be a foundation set up by a lobbyist who would end up in infinite disgrace, Jack Abramoff, funded almost entirely by the South African apartheid government to promote messages and policies in favor of the apartheid government. Holst would turn out to be an utter fraud. Heynrickx’s research would be described by other researchers as “a real joke”, and that any student who submitted equivalent work would be kicked out of school. One can see all this, without difficulty, as an ominous foreshadowing of the lead-up to the Iraq war. After the fall of Saddam, in the search for chemical weapons used in war crimes, Heynrickx would show up there as well.

Quote:
Charlie Black, Roger Stone, and Lee Atwater were probably the most prominent members of BMS&K, but equally interesting as all of them, though far less visible, was Paul Manafort, and he was to be found in a number of notable incidents, the first of which was direct involvement in another scandal that BMS&K would survive without difficulty. It involved the Department of Housing and Urban Development under the Reagan administration, where an independent counsel report would eventually find “a pervasive pattern of criminal behavior” involving officials at the department, who had engaged in influence peddling and blatant favoritism, as well as consultants such as Paul Manafort who did business with the department. The problem lay with federal aid in terms of rent subsidies, mortgage relief, and tax credits picked up for low income housing developments without any competitive bidding, with the housing then flipped and the tax credits re-sold, without any benefit reaching those it was supposed to, only the developers and the consultants who had ins with the department. One of the most prominent examples was the Seabrook development in New Jersey, where Manafort was directly involved in winning the HUD grant.

The low income housing complex called Seabrook was located in Upper Deerfield Township, New Jersey, and got a $43 million grant made up of rent subsidies and renovation, a grant that its county had never applied for. Nor did they think the rundown complex was worth rehabilitating. It was Victor Cruse, a former deputy housing commissioner of Connecticut, who made the request for low income housing aid. He then hired Paul Manafort, who used his connections at the department to make sure the request got fast tracked, without competitive bids. A small ad was placed in a local paper soliciting such bids, but it was worded so that only the Seabrook complex could qualify for the grant. “To read this ad,” said Charles Schumer, the representative of New York, “you might as well cut out all of the other language and put in this one line: ‘The fix is in.'” The complex was then bought up by CFM Development Corp., one of whose partners was Manafort. Two years after receiving the grant, including rent subsidies, rents had doubled on a complex without sign of repair or rehabilitation. Seabrook was an abyss of row upon row of cinder block barracks, with leaky roofs, exposed wiring, and shoddy construction. As part of the inquiry into the problems at HUD, Manafort would testify before congress. He would bristle at the idea that he’d been involved in influence peddling. “You might call it influence-peddling. I call it lobbying,” he said. “That’s a definitional debate.”

That there was a massive scandal which involved the most wealthy taking advantage of subsidies intended for the most vulnerable and worst off didn’t matter. Black, Manafort, Stone, and Kelly would survive it. Around the time, there was intense bidding among the various lobby shops, BMS&K among them, for the clientship of Mobutu Sese Seko, the kleptocrat mass murderer head of Zaire (now the Congo, again). The competing shops would point out to their potential client that Black, Manafort had been deeply implicated in the housing scandal. “That only shows how important they are!” exclaimed a member of the Mobutu regime. BMS&K won Mobutu as a client. When Roger Stone’s sex scandal broke, one essay discussing it mentions the detail that Stone spent over eight thousand dollars in hair transplants. One could play a pleasant guessing game, of wondering who paid a bigger contribution for that gold clump on top of his head, the dead of Africa or the impoverished of New Jersey.

Quote:
In 1993, Manafort and another member of BMS&K, Riva Levinson, would tour Kashmir, the territory and area of long dispute between India and Pakistan. They would conduct interviews in the region by posing as journalists from CNN. Manafort and Levinson denied that they had done such a thing, though the Indian government did lodge a complaint against CNN and a regional journalists’ association passed a resolution condemning the duplicity of Manafort and Levinson. The interviews were to be used to promote the objectives of a BMS&K client, the Kashmiri American Foundation, and it has only been due to an arrest, indictment, and guilty plea within the past few years that we’ve learned exactly who was behind this foundation.

ISI influence was not just an allegation of a confidential informant, but the overwhelming conclusion reached by the agent filing the complaint:

Contrary to Fai’s repeated representations to the DOJ and the FBI, the investigation has led me to conclude that Fai has acted at the direction and with the financial support of the Government of Pakistan for more than 20 years. Voluminous evidence independently establishes the essence of what the confidential witnesses told the FBI: that although Fai has some latitude to decide his day-to-day activities, the Government of Pakistan long has directed and funded his lobbying and public relations efforts in the United States.

Fai, in part thanks to the support of BMS&K, would gain access to the highest levels of political power. He was a bipartisan donor, though he gave far more heavily to the Republicans than the Democrats, donating thousands to the Republican National Committee and Dan Burton, the Representative of Indiana who gained greatest prominence through his investigations of the Clinton administration. Burton would speak at KCA events, and in 2007, Fai was given the American Spirit Medal, the highest award from the National Republican Senatorial Committee, for being committed to conservative principles. The money donated by the KCA to Burton and the RNC came via straw donors, who were a front for the actual donor: the Pakistani intelligence service.

Fai would send a message to his supervisor, “that, as part of a strategy to make it appear that the KAC was a Kashmiri organization run by Kashmiris and financed by Americans – – as agreed by Fai and Abdullah’s predecessors on March 20, 1990 – – no one from the Pakistani Embassy would ever contact the public relations firm.” Whether this “public relations firm” was BMS&K or a separate entity is not made clear in the criminal complaint or any of the stories about the case I have come across – the criminal complaint only refers to a “public relations firm” without naming it. However, this strange episode is made even more interesting when placed next to on-going revelations from last year, that have received almost no attention from the American press.

Quote:
These revelations involved a french scandal called the Karachi affair, or as we would say in american, Karachigate. It involved the sale by France of Sawari II frigates to Saudi Arabia and Agosta submarines to Pakistan, with commissions from these sales illegally funding the French presidential campaign of Edouard Balladur in 1995. Two men acted as intermediaries to effect the sale, Abdul Rahman El Assir and Ziad Takieddine, and El Assir was good friends with Paul Manafort. The political consultant may end up serving as a crucial proof that these commissions were used as illegal election funds, based on transfers made for his services by Balladur, which involved conducting a poll and drawing up a road map for the campaign. Balladur would eventually decide not to use his services.

My own translation of the Paris Match article, “Un politologue américain au cœur de l’affaire Karachi” by François Labrouillère and David Le Bailly, that places Manafort at the center of things:

AN AMERICAN POLITICAL CONSULTANT AT THE HEART OF THE KARACHI AFFAIR

It appears that Paul Manafort, very discretely, lent his services to the Edouard Balladur campaign in 1995. It was the ex-wife of Ziad Takieddine, the English Nicola Johnson, who, in December 2011, had revealed this. “Ziad had told me that Paul Manafort was giving counsel to the campaign of Balladur.” In reply to the question, who had compensated Manafort for his services, the ex-Mrs. Takieddine had replied, “I imagine El-Assir and Ziad. I think they were the ones who paid.” Ziad Zakkiedine and Abdul Rahman El-Assir are the two Lebanese intermediaries who skimmed tens of millions of euros in illegal commissions linked to arms contracts signed off by the Balladur government. Commissions which, according to the suspicions of the judges, went into financing the presidential campaign of Balladur.

After two years of inquiry, the judge Renaud Van Ruymbeke has identified in Switzerland numerous bank accounts intended to receive these commissions. At least tow of the accounts belong to Abdul Rahman El-Assir. Their investigation has also permitted them to find evidence of several payments to Paul Manafort, confirming the statements of his Takieddine’s ex-wife, Nicola Johnson. On September 22, 1994, El-Assir sent $35 000 to BMS&K, the consulting firm of Manafort. On November 16, 1994, another transfer, this time of $17 000 to BMS&K. On May 22 1995, El-Assir sent $52 000 to Tarrance Group, a group close to Manafort. On August 2nd, 1995, it was $125 017 that was sent to BMS&K. Finally, on August 15 1995, El-Assir paid $125 016 to Paul Manafort.

In total, between September 1994 and August 1995, the consultant and his associates pocketed close to $400 000 from the famous accounts where El-Assir kept the commissions from the Karachi affair. A connection is finally established between the commissions and the Balladur campaign. It has not escaped the police of the DNIF (Division National of Investigations Financial [this is my doing a direct translation of the words that make up the non-english acronym]) that the period of payments to Manafort corresponds to the french presidential campaign in 1995. In the report, the justices write: “Given the payments made by El-Assir to Paul Manafort, one can legitimately find the thesis put forward by Mrs. Takieddine to be credible. In light of the professional life of El-Assir, it is a little shocking that he is making payments to an expert political consultant like Manafort given that in 1995, no American presidential election was taking place.” Contacted by Paris Match, representatives of Edouard Balladur made assurances that they had never done business with Paul Manafort.

On August 2, 2012, Manafort would give testimony to the inquiry. My own translation of the testimony from an article, “Karachi : nouveau boulet pour Balladur” by Violette Lazard, out of Libération:

Everything started, for him, in 1988. One of his friends introduced him to Abdul Rahman el-Assir, an intermediary in weapons sales who had been charged with closing contracts between France, Pakistan, and Saudi Arabia, along with Ziad Takieddine, for the Balladur government. Manafort and El-Assir struck up a friendship to the point that Manafort became godfather for el-Assir’s son, while Manafort invited el-Assir to the White House for the swearing in of George H.W. Bush in 1989.

El-Assir would recommend Manafort to his own clients, among them Edouard Balladur, in 1994. The spin doctor accepted, and did his first poll (today, evidence in the judges’ possession), then wrote up a road map on the strategy of the campaign. He explained that he had gone to France to present his work to Balladur’s campaign team. Who was in charge of translation at this conference? Ziad Takieddine himself, who Manafort said he met via El-Assir. Very well paid for his work – two payment transfers of $52 000 (39 000 euros) and $34 975 (26 000 euros) have been found – his strategy did not appear feasible. Manafort explained that he continued to send notes on current events dealing with Edouard Balladur, gave advice, and that he passed this information on through El-Assir and Takieddine. There. The collaboration ended there.

This testimony would conflict with the version of events of the Balladur campaign, whose members claimed not to know Manafort or to have received any counsel from him. It would also conflict with what El-Assir had said earlier, that the payments made to Manafort had nothing to do with the Balladur presidential campaign. Given that BMS&K were involved in so many things, we have the possibly inevitable coincidence that Marafort is in Kashmir working on behalf of an entity secretly funded by Pakistani intelligence, the same year that he receives payments for political work that come out of sales of military hardware to Pakistan.

The result of this funding scandal may have had a tragic end. Balladur would lose the election, and Jacques Chirac, upon assuming power, supposedly canceled the kickbacks that top members of the Pakistani military were to receive for agreeing to the sales. In 2002, eleven French submarine engineers and four Pakistanis were killed in a bomb attack in Karachi. This may have been an al-Qaeda attack; or, it may have been a reprisal on the part of members of the Pakistani military upset about the halting of kickbacks. It remains an open investigation

Welcome to one side of the dirty game of politics. None of this should come as a surprise to anybody who is a realist.

What is it really?

Well, it's just another sleazy smear of political opponents. Opponents who have been successful in spiking the plans of others. Just like Hillary tried to spike the outing of the truth about her emails and her denials of her Libyan (Benghazi) disaster. In her case she got found out, and an indictment is a real possibility. Not so in Manafort's case.

We just need to remember:
Quote:
"Manafort, who handled the Kashmiri account for his firm, was never charged".

The opposition and anti-GOP forces can bleat all they like. Without a case being put and the so-called "evidence" being tested in a court of law, the story you quote, TCJ, remains no more than a series of sleazy smears. (Not by you I hasten to add, but by the author) I don't know anything about the author. However, he's certainly no true investigative journalist. That's apparent from his reliance on un-named (fictitious?) and unsubstantiated sources, and his reliance on scuttle-butt and hearsay.

The rule of law is a fundamental under-pinning of a democracy.

If the evidence stood up don't you think charges would have been laid against Manafort? Or are you intimating that the American legal system is corruptly under the influence of Manafort's mates?

I thought the article was interesting. Considering I haven't devoted much time to the Men behind Trump I'm grateful TCJ published it or I might not have seen it.

While I wasn't surprised about the above article I had the expectation that this is what they were involved in (they are political consultants after all), I was surprised by the true extent of what the GOP had done to the country and to itself. This is part of why I believe Stone provided consultancy to Trump initially and why Manafort is now. They see themselves as the ultimate patriots of the GOP. For instance Stone voted against the Republicans based on payback for not supporting Reagan. So just as in the past he'll cross the Floor and take action in order to correct what he would see as wrong with the Party - Trump would be a real protest runner. With Stone I had come up with a multitude of different reasons, some convoluted and some long term of why he's doing this - and it turns out, this is the Occams razor's one, the most obvious. Go figure.

That write sources from well documented press reports and book editions. The New York Times and others are just recently lightly picking on the Manafort stories and using the same uncontested histories. Lobbyists for foreign entities are supposedly under strict rules and what they can or cannot get away with is determined by the political climate. It was a 'look the other way' climate which sentenced some to prison over the government housing thievery but allowed the instigators (Manafort and freinds) a clean legal pass.

Quote:

Now you're talking. Manafort never being charged doesn't absolve him from the slimy dealings he explicitly admitted to. Other than that instance, there's no denying he and his made careers of and small fortunes by representing various butchering despots and large drug cartels.

Quote:
Firing another broadside Saturday, Democratic presidential nominee Michael S. Dukakis stepped up charges that Vice President George Bush relies on top advisers who were “paid agents” of Bahamanian officials suspected of drug profiteering.

Quote:
In 1985, the increased public attention to the role of the Bahamas as a base for drug smuggling led that government to seek the advice of a U.S. public relations firm. The firm, Black, Manafort, and Stone, submitted a memorandum to the Bahamian officials suggesting that it could sell the United States government on the importance of the Bahamas to U.S. security.

According to Black-Manafort, the Department of State and the Department of Defense wished to maintain a “solid relationship” with the Pindling Administration, but the DEA and the Department of the Treasury were “active critics.”

Black-Manafort advised the Bahamian government that it needed to lobby both the Executive and Congressional branches of the United States government, beginning with the National Security Council to mobilize political support for the Bahamas and to focus the Departments of Defense and State so as to “affect Treasury and Justice policy.” The memo went on to suggest that the personal relationships between then Secretary of Defense Weinberger and then Attorney General Meese could be used to redefine the priorities of the U.S. in its dealings with the Bahamas. Black-Manafort was to charge the Bahamas $800,000 per year for representing them on these matters, and the firm was ultimately retained by the Bahamian government.

Shortly after the Bahamian government retained U.S. public relations consultants, it suddenly began cooperating on some drug issues on the advice of its consultants. For instance, the government allowed the installation of an aerostat radar, set up joint air and naval operations and allowed U.S. authorities to enter Bahamian territory in hot pursuit of drug traffickers. Yet the cooperation remained far from complete. For example, the government continued to allow foreign nationals arrested for drug smuggling to leave the country after posting bail, and continued to make it difficult for U.S. authorities to participate in the destruction of seized drugs.

The Bahamian willingness to cooperate with interdiction efforts has created a pro-Bahamian constituency in interdiction-related agencies such as the Customs Service. But the increased level of interdiction cooperation has neither cut the amount of cocaine coming into the United States from the Bahamas, nor has it led to the destruction of the major smuggling organizations. Indeed, as Deputy Assistant Secretary of State for Inter-U.S. Affairs Richard Holwill noted, “…notwithstanding the cooperation, there has been an increase in trafficking.” The Assistant Secretary of State for International Narcotics Matters and the Administrator of the DEA acknowledged that the Bahamas remains a significant transshipment point.

In a nutshell, "just toss us a few mid-level smuggler bones occasionally and you're in the clear for everything else."

His story begins in full with his involvements with Watergate and how it's final results utterly ruined his, among many others, world. Being a known insider Nixonite in those post-Watergate years would mostly only open the doors to those works like has been repeatedly shown above in quotes.
The answer to why I seem so obsessive of these heartless, venal manipulators also goes back to Watergate and the night a very endeared and the closest of friends arrived at my house unexpectedly and spent days with me frighteningly grief stricken and in fear for her life. We knew without doubt or reservations - they coldly murdered her mother and dozens others. Hunt's son, also a friend, didn't recover mentally and Stone has taken him under wing as an acolyte.

Later it was revealed that there were over 50 agents searching through the wreckage.

I'll leave it all at that and keep hoping the press here gives wider and deeper coverage into the "best possible people, the finest" whom Trump has himself surrounded with.

Now we're getting into the realm of real conspiracy. I'm only surprised that Gus Stiver's name doesn't appear:
Quote:
THE WATERGATE PLANE CRASH

1. THE PEOPLE. Upwards of twelve persons connected in one way or another with Watergate, boarded United Air Lines Flight 553 on the afternoon of December 8, 1972. They had something in common. That week there had been a gas pipeline lobbyists meeting as part of the American Bar Association meeting in Washngton, D.C. It was conducted by Roger Moreau. His secretary was Nancy Parker. Among those attending were Ralph Blodgett and James W. Krueger, both attorneys for the Northern Natural Gas Co., of Omaha, Nebraska. Associated with them were Lon Bayer, attorney for Kansas-Nebraska Natural Gas Co.; Wilbur Erickson, president, Federal Land Bank in Omaha. This was a belligerant group determined to blow the lid off the Watergate case. Reason Former U.S. Attorney General, John Mitchell, and his friends running the Justice Department were putting the spear into Northern Natural Gas. Some officials of that firm and its subsidiaries were indicted on federal criminal charges, September 7, 1972, in Omaha, Chicago, and Hammond, Indiana. Charge bribery of local officials in Northwest Indiana to let the gas pipeline go through. (Chicago Daily News, 9/8/72). To blackmail their way out of these charges, the Omaha firm had uncovered documents showing that Mitchell, while U.S. Attorney General in 1969, dropped anti-trust charges against a competitor of Northern Natural Gas---El Paso Gas Co. The dropping of the charges against El Paso was worth 300 million dollars. A spokesman for Mitchell belatedly claimed, in March, 1973, that Mitchell had "disqualified" himself in 1969, because Mitchell's law partner represented El Paso. The Justice Department under Mitchell, dropped the charges. Period. About the same time, Mitchell, through a law partner as nominee, got a stock interest in El Paso. Gas and oil interests, such as El Paso, Gulf Resources, and others contributed heavily to Nixon's spy fund, supervised by Mitchell.

[Earlier, I had spoken out about the apparent bribery of Mitchell as Attorney General by El Paso which caused him to proceed to prosecute on my charges, Chicago Federal Appeals Judge Otto Kerner, Jr., for bribery. The highest level sitting federal judge sent to jail for bribery in U.S.history.]

Pipeline official Krueger was carrying the Mitchell-El Paso documents on the plane. He had told his wife that he had in his possession irreplaceable papers of a sensitive nature. For months after the crash, his widow demanded, to no avail, that United Air Lines turn over to her his briefcase. It later came out in the pipeline trial in Hammond, that Blodgett had been browbeating federal officials, to drop the criminal charges just prior to the crash. (Chicago Tribune, 5/18/73.) [Our investigation uncovered that most of the local officials, to be government witnesses against the pipeline, were murdered just prior to trial. In all, some five Northwest Indiana officials.]

Dorothy Hunt, Watergate pay-off woman, who offered executive clemency directly on behalf of Nixon to some of the Watergate defendants, was seeking to leave the U.S. with over 2 million Dollars in cash and negotiables that she had gotten from CREEP, Committee to Re-Elect the President. [She was so concerned about these valuables, she purchased a separate first class seat next to her on the plane for this luggage.] She and her husband, E. Howard Hunt, the Watergate conspirator, were a "C.I.A. couple", two agents "married" and living together. Early in December, 1972,both were threatening to blow the lid off the White House if (a) he wasn't freed of the criminal charges; (b) Nixon didn't pay heavy to suppress the documents they had showing he was implicated in the planning and carrying out, by the FBI and the CIA, of the political murder of President Kennedy; and (c) Dorothy and Howard Hunt didn't both get several million dollars. Some of these details are in the Memo of Watergate double-agent, James McCord, a CIA official in charge of the Agency's physical security; details before the Senator Ervin Committee. (N.Y. Times, 5/9/73.) Hunt claimed, according to McCord, to have the data necessary to impeach Nixon. McCord said matters were coming to a head early in December, 1972. Mrs. Hunt was unhappy with her job of going all over the country to bribe defendants and witnesses in the bugging case. She wanted out.

Mrs.Hunt was on the way to arrange to take her money out of the country, possibly Costa Rica, to link up with international swindler Robert Vesco who was there at the time; through Harold C. Carlstead, whose wife was Mrs. Hunt's cousin. Carlstead reportedly did accounting and tax work for mobster-owned businesses in the Chicago-area. He operated two Holiday Inn motels in Chicago's south suburbs---at 174th and Torrence, Lansing, Illinois and at 171st and Halsted, Harvey, Illinois. Carlstead's motel on Torrence was reportedly a favorite hang out for gangsters and dope traffickers such as apparently "Cool" Freddie Smith, Grover Barnes, and the late Chicago mobster Sam DeStefano (who aided the American CIA in bloody tricks and was snuffed out to silence him), to name a few. Mrs. Hunt had (a) Ten Thousand Dollars in untraceable cash; (b) Forty Thousand Dollars in so-called "Barker" bills, traceable to Watergate spy Bernard Barker; and (c) upwards of Two Million Dollars in American Express money orders, travelers checks, and postal money orders. (As shown by testimony before the National Transportation Safety Board, re-opened Watergate plane crash hearings, June 13-14, 1973. Hearings re-opened as a result of my lawsuit claiming sabotage covered up by the N.T.S.B.) Carlstead issued a fake "cover" story that had (only) Ten Thousand Dollars with Mrs. Hunt. A story swallowed up by the Establishment Press.

Mrs. Hunt got on Flight 553 with Michele Clark, CBS Network newswoman, going to do an exclusive story on Watergate. Mrs. Hunt, Mitchell, Nixon---the story could have destroyed Nixon at the time. Ms Clark had lots of insight into the bugging and cover-up through her boyfriend, a CIA operative. In the summer of 1972, prior to any major revelations of Watergate, Ms Clark tried to pick the brains of Chicago Congressman George Collins, regarding the bugging of the Democratic headquarters. Ms Clark was sitting with Cong. Collins on the plane. (Testimony 6/14/73, of Cong. Collins' public relations director.)

After the crash, Michele Clark's employer, CBS Network News, ordered and demanded that the body be cremated by the southside Chicago mortician handling the matter---possibly to cover up foul play. Later, the mortician was murdered in his business establishment, an unsolved crime. (We interviewed close confidants of her family who informed us of the details how CBS applied tremendous pressure and offered large sums for silence on the crash details and having her body cremated contrary to her family's wishes.)

Also on the plane were four or more people who knew about a labor union that had given a large "donation" to CREEP to head-off an criminal indictment of a Chicago labor union hoodlum(at the time of the book, 1973, actively investigated by us).

For many years, like clockwork, one Chicagoan went to Washington, D.C. on Monday and came back Friday afternoon on Flight 553 or its equivalent Lawrence T. O'Connor, Apt. 5-C, 999 North Lake Shore Drive, Chicago, Illinois. On Friday, December 8, 1972, he received a call from someone he knows in the White House, telling him not to take Flight 553 but to go instead to a special meeting.

My long-time friend, political activist Dick Gregory, informed me that there had been strenuous efforts to steer him that same afternoon onto United Air Lines Flight 553. Luckily, he had changed his mind

Sorry I'm not sure what you mean, I don't think you're obsessive I just thought you were politically aware.
R. Stone at that time was 19 years old. He was very, very young and obviously impressionable. A 19 year Stone is a very different man, 40 or 50 years later.
So I'm not sure what your suggesting his(Roger Stone's) relationship is to Kennedy's assassination. Bar I do know he wrote a book pointing the finger at LBJ.

The general public consensus back then was one of Hunt and the others being murdered by plane crash. Gus Stiver would be far out of his league in this one. Other details show how Nixon on the day after the tragedy appointed his tricky insiders to head the aviation rule, safety and investigation agencies yet they had zero qualifications. That alone tells much.

Quote:
Next day, Egil Krogh, head of the “plumbers” was made undersecretary of transportation -Krogh could now supervise both NTSB and FAA and supposedly witnesses testified to Senate that Krogh had tried to intimidate NTSB members re Hunt crash Nixon also put Alexander Butterfield in as head of the FAA. Butterfield had been in charge of the WH secret taping system. Dwight Chapin/dirty tricks was moved to United Airlines/Chgo as executive. Supposedly Chapin warned the media off foul-play or cover-up stories ....and if they “failed to obey” he would get Nixon’s communications czar to break up the networks.

From Nixon's tape recorded discussions in the White House -
Quote:
The conversation turns to the plane crash that killed the wife of Watergate burglar E. Howard Hunt (see December 8, 1972). Dean says that Dorothy Hunt was flying to (actually from) Chicago with $10,000 to give to “the Cubans,” referring to the Cuban burglars working under Hunt. Dean says, “You’ve got then, an awful lot of the principals involved who know. Some people’s wives know. Mrs. Hunt was the savviest woman in the world. She had the whole picture together,” possibly referring to Dorothy Hunt’s alleged threats to expose the entire Watergate conspiracy. Nixon, who knows the conversation is being taped, says of Dorothy Hunt’s death, “Great sadness. As a matter of fact there was discussion with somebody about Hunt’s problem on account of his wife and I said, of course commutation could be considered on the basis of his wife’s death, and that is the only conversation I ever had in that light.” Dean concurs: “Right. So that is it. That is the extent of the knowledge.” http://historycommons.org/entity.jsp?en ... thy_hunt_1

he wrote a book pointing the finger at LBJ.

In collusion with Hunt's son after his hard break from reality. It's tossed out as gossipy and unfounded rubbish as most of Stone's efforts are. Innuendo becomes fact and to the degree that his latest work accuses Clinton of fathering children with prostitutes including one and her son who claim he paid hefty sums to hush both up. DNA tests have been done long ago absolving Clinton, and the accusers today refuse to submit to more, so it's just more Stone hitman garbage and this time done to hurt Hilary. The racist-baiting Willie Horton Ad and John McCain's supposed adopted from Africa daughter (was from Bangladesh) are perfect examples of this gangs publicly smearing work.
If you read that linked write-up and follow up elsewhere you'll see the details of E. Howard Hunt's attempts to blame Nixon for the JFK assassination. True or not, it's all mostly roundly considered the rants of a broken and vengeful mind and much of it came from his death bed. There's never been an investigation that I know about stemming from the accusations, and so I can't say yes or no about any of it.

Roger Stone was 19, impressionable and mentally molded like a young Marine in boot camp. He was a member of CREEP :?: the 'dirty tricksters' and became a sought after expert master of political 'hatchet jobs.'
Quote:
In the world of politics, a "hatchet job" refers to when somebody launches a harsh and personal attack against a candidate for office. A "hatchet job" will usually include distortions, half-truths or even complete untruths in an effort to besmirch a candidate's character.

It is obsessive of me. We were completely terrified and with our popular Georgetown social set young hipster minds blown. Lisa was my wife's best friend and always about with us. Her brother had an excellent fusion jazz band, could mimic Jeff Beck just perfectly, and which played at parties given at the upper class homes and lawns of Potomac, Maryland. My two friends, two of a few in our inner circle, were innocent of anything nefarious their parents were involved in. I always knew Lisa's father worked for the White House but even she was never aware that both parents were seasoned, upper echelon CIA veterans.

These were the days of the surveillance state's coming of age. When Watergate broke, my wife while working at Bell Telephone was informed by some technician workers-union friends that the feds had bugged our house phone. Around the same time, I made a major privacy blunder by accepting an invitation to the national office of Vietnam Veterans Against the War, was given a membership and some lovely pot to smoke but pretty soon the discussions turned from insightful political and war protest talk to an angry rant by very angry, over the top, member Scott Camil insisting the White House be taken by armed force "now!" The obviously "bugged" small downtown office was "raided", overturned, and trashed out that night by the FBI, according to the Washington Post. I ran into three of them soon after at a party. The paranoia was thick and for good reason. Hanging out with guys J. Edgar Hoover declared as 'enemies of the state' is asking for even more trouble so no more of that happened.
Quote:
Lisa, then 23, distanced themselves from a father they blamed for their mother's death and took refuge with friends, away from the besieged family home.

Sometimes our house was watched by business suited men in big parked sedans that also occasionally followed us in traffic, and especially if Lisa was with us.
The end of it all for me began soon after driving Lisa to meet her father after his recent release from prison days before. I was introduced, and he waved and smiled to me when they drove off. Within a couple of weeks after that, she received her mother's death insurance settlement, bought a large farm in Wisconsin, and left us.
Obsessed with innocence lost that way, I guess. Every time these men are back in the news it all comes up again and unpleasantly.

This is why I twitter jumped on Roger Stone, Inc. not long ago and continue to do so. He and his political rebirths are very disturbing to me and many others, even to the point of my ranting to others here from other lands who may not understand the insidious depths of it all. There's no excuses for the lives ruined and taken by them and it's impossible for me to let any defense of them let stand unanswered.

Back on topic - where's Gus?

For Wombat, Gus lives up near Niagra Falls in Canada. He has met with a couple of FB forum members - one at the top

of the German Alps and the other in New York City. We have photos of him and pictures from his tour in Paris. Oleks Buryan

writes in from time to time, he is in the Ukrainian army. He made a La Clau out of shell casings in the snow which was sent to

the group in Girona.

Mural on the wall of the RLC church containing the wooden balustrade that held the glass vial with the first clue.

The wooden balustrade. The glass vial hidden inside was found in the box of Ben.

Oleksander was on Arcadia, I will try to recall his Arcadia name.

FB is Facebook Arcadia. Gus met with another Legos guy - Legos Germany -

in Germany just because he was going to be there. Also NYC, he was traveling there and contacted

a FB New Yorker. As for Niagra Falls, Gus was selling Rennes books and that was the postmark, Niagra Falls - Niagra froze

after that by the way.

PLAYMOBIL Legos Germany, you think he`d be a fun guy....

The little mark in the center of the SION signature is very small but it

seems to be the same design as on the Centurion stone and on the gold

Swiss crest of FMH999.

Maybe he already knew the German and New Yorker before he met them this time around. They could be his old school friends.

Somehow I participate and am able to observe, but Icremote and I were never pals.

The urn has been repaired by the way. Gus went to school in Taiwan. Taiwan is where

Eric Mader is a professor.

Did you want to know the latest Wombat? Gus has recruited the Rennes group into Fantasy Football teams

with all that it entails. He always comes and goes, mostly gone who knows where.
